WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY

Whats Up Wednesday? Current Events from the Office of Student Life ...
Wow, the challenge to send in photos was heeded! I was pleasantly surprised by all the WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY entries this week! Good job, folks! Keep them coming and I hope you enjoy taking a peek into the lives of a bunch of your THESIS FAMILY as they weather the storm of this unprecedented time in history! Good job staying positive, staying home and staying active!

The ASH family has been spending alot of time outdoors: schooling, playing, digging, hauling and sewing masks for healthcare workers! What an amazing family! A few Easter traditions they wanted to share this week: covering all windows on Good Friday and leaving them that to represent the darkness of the tomb--until Easter/Resurrection morning when the light floods in! Also making potato tomb cake and hanging cross finger paintings around the tomb. Thanks for sharing!

The Ezzi family has been climbing trees, hiking, digging ramps, and enjoying time with their family as the continue to homeschool during this quarantine. They miss their THESIS FAMILY and wish every well!

The Friend family took a break from hunting mushrooms in WHITE PARK to skip a few rocks.
The St. Martin Brown family has loved the quarantine for its increased amount of FAMILY TIME! They took the goats to the vet in their van--rode canoes down the Elk Creek, watched drawing videos as a family, and an impromptu family photo shoot at Glen Elk. They have hiked, and baked new treats and caught up on homeschool work. Albani reminds us in this time of uncertainty...we do not know the future, but ewe can choose to enjoy the memories made together today! And P.S. they all miss their THEIS FAMILY too!

The Tennants have been busy at home too! Creating robots, assembling puzzles, stamping, outside time and even dressing up for 'stay-at-home' church! How precious to see little hearts and hands engaging with the Scriptures!

The Sprenger family life isn't looking too much different than usual except for a few extra family members at home: Big Sis Glenna from WVU doing her schoolwork on line and dad, Matt working from home and doing read alouds daily. Speaking of read alouds--they just finished the GREEN EMBER series (S.D Smith--a WV native), and started The Dream Traveler's Quest Series (Ted Decker). Both highly recommended! In addition they have been making enough art to stock the whole 2021 THESIS ART SHOW next year! Wow, we had no idea you all were such great painters!

The Vincent family is enjoying the trees and creek behind their house as they climb and jump and fish and play all while finishing up their first year of homeschooling. In light of the Pandemic and education upheaval--homeschooling has provided a calm and consistency the the family. The Vincent's say the are doing well--but missing their THESIS FAMILY as well.

The Ash family wasn't the only family to dust off the ol' sewing machine! Ruthie Horne decided to take the extra time at home to make her a cape and work on her Lego ocean model--complete with legless 'swimming' Lego figures!  Way to go Ruthie--using your skills and creativity!

Now, let's hear from some more of you!! WHAT'S UP?
